The weather stopped the attack on Makalu’s summit

“The weather let us down. In the morning visibility was poor and there was a snowfall. We waded slowly and wrongly. Through the fog we could see only the dark clouds on the horizon. Incredibly deep snow made us return to camp 2 after we have covered 1/3 route to camp 3. We are waiting till tomorrow for some improvements.” – reports Artur Hajzer, leader of the unification expedition of the Polish Mountaineering Expedition to Makalu.
