Makalu 2011 – Health condition of the Polish Himalayan mountaineers

Today Artur Hajzer, Maciej Stańczak and Tomasz Wolfart have been transported to Kathmandu by means of a helicopter.

Their lives are not in danger.

Their hands are frostbitten. Probably they will go directly to one of the Spanish clinics that specializes in frostbite treatment.

The remaining participants of the expedition strike the base camp and start to descend.

The expedition takes place thanks to the support of Ministry of Sport and Tourism, Jerzy Kukuczka Polish Mountaineering Support Foundation and HiMountain.
