Manaslu 2012 – a report of 14th May – snowfall thwarts the plans of Poles

“Yesterday a 12-hour snowfall, lasting till night, thwarted our plans and today, a team composed of Jarek, Grzegorz and Kamil are setting off towards C1. Tomorrow, the second team is going to set off.” – reports Jerzy Natkański, the leader of a unification expedition of Polish Mountaineering Association to Manaslu (8,156 m). The unification expedition of Polish Mountaineering Association is coming to an end. Porters have been booked for 20th May. After packing the base camp and loads, the expedition has to travel in a caravan for fove days. “These set offs are the last ones during this expedition” – adds Natkański.
