“The first team is already in C2. Rafał and Jerzy are in C1. Piotr and Wojciech remained in the base camp.” – reports from C1 Jerzy Natkański, the leader of a unification expedition to Polish Mountaineering Association to Manaslu (8,156 m). “It has been snowing for 7 hours; wind speed in C1 exceeds 70 km/h; it is not that windy on C2.” – adds Natkański.
Operations on Manaslu continue. The expedition is a part of “Polish Winter Himalayan Mountaineering 2010-2015” program, whose honorary patron is Bronisław Komorowski, the President of Poland. The Ministry of Sport and Tourism and Jerzy Kukuczka Polish Mountaineering Support Foundation finance the expedition. Equipment is provided by HiMountain.
