Manaslu 2012 – a report of 30th April – snowfall stops the operations

"All of us descended to the base camp. Unfortunately, another half a meter of snow has fallen and it is still snowing, so we are waiting for improvements in weather." – writes Jerzy Natkański, leader of unification expedition of Polish Mountaineering Association to Manaslu.

The expedition of Polish Mountaineering Association to Manaslu (8,156 m) is a part of “Polish Winter Himalayan Mountaineering 2010-2015” program, whose honorary patron is Bronisław Komorowski, the President of Poland. The Ministry of Sport and Tourism and Jerzy Kukuczka Polish Mountaineering Support Foundation finance the expedition. Equipment is provided by HiMountain.
